Objective: Determine the relationship between assertive communication and interpersonal relationships between nursing professionals of the Cardiovascular intensive Care Unit at the National Institute of Children´s in San Borja 2017.
Methodology: A quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional and prospective study was carried out. The sampling was for convenience and the universe was made up of 25 nurses.
Results: No significant relationship was found in the relationship of variables 48% of nurses have assertive communication and 52% do not; In addition, 56% have an inadequate interpersonal relationship and 44% have an adequate interpersonal relationship.
Conclusion: In the service of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit there is no relationship between assertive communication and interpersonal relationships.
