Determina los efectos laboratoriales séricos, al hidratar con soluciones isotónicas versus hipotónicas, a pacientes pediátricos con diagnósticos de resolución quirúrgica, en el Hospital Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, durante el periodo de julio, agosto y septiembre 2018. La nueva forma de hidratación que se plantea en pacientes pediátricos da mucha controversia, ya que los médicos de antaño aún tienen duda que la hidratación con solución isotónica sea la mejor elección. Es por ello, que actualmente existen varios estudios que comparan ambos tipos de hidratación y a su vez recomiendan una más que la otra. Se tiene conocimiento que si bien no es un trastorno común, la hidratación con solución hipotónica conduce a hiponatremia que muchas veces es asintomática, pero que, en algunos casos, puede tornarse sintomática y traer consecuencias devastadoras.
