El objetivo de esta investigación consiste en identificar las zonas
críticas por inundación y analizar las alturas de desborde con la finalidad de
proponer las posibles soluciones preventivas ante esta problemática. Para cumplir con estos propósitos, se realizó un Modelamiento Hidrológico e
Hidráulico mediante los softwares HEC-HMS y HEC-RAS respectivamente. El resultado obtenido del caudal para un periodo de retorno de 100 años fue de 240 m3/s. Gracias a este resultado, se podrá identificar las zonas críticas de inundación a causa del desborde del río Yapatera en el distrito de Chulucanas,
provincia de Morropón.
