Asociación entre técnica quirúrgica y complicaciones en manejo quirúrgico de obstrucción intestinal por bridas y adherencias en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza durante los años 2018 -2023
Abstract
La obstrucción intestinal es una interrupción en el flujo hacia delante de contenido intestinal, causada con más frecuencia por adherencias intraabdominales, malignidad o hernia intestinal. Esta genera un 15% de consultas por emergencia, 15% de ingresos hospitalarios y 20% de intervenciones quirúrgicas por dolor abdominal. La incidencia es similar para sexo femenino y masculino, con edad promedio de 64 años. La obstrucción intestinal es una de las principales causas de morbilidad y costo económico en los hospitales de todo el mundo. Las adherencias peritoneales se desarrollan luego de la cirugía, y el riesgo de obstrucción intestinal es mayor en 65% al 75% de los casos. La carga socioeconómica se incrementa a través de la formación de adherencias postoperatorias, aumentando la carga financiera de las adherencias. La principal dificultad para el cirujano es la determinación del tratamiento quirúrgico o tratamiento médico, y el por tal motivo se sugiere la necesidad de una solución quirúrgica. El siguiente estudio retrospectivo realizado en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza analizara características epidemiológicas y clínicas, así como el manejo quirúrgico y complicaciones en pacientes con obstrucción intestinal por bridas y adherencias entre 2018 y 2023. Se compararán las técnicas quirúrgicas y se investigara la asociación de complicaciones en estos pacientes.
